Safetycare NZ Ltd was founded in 1998, in response to growing demand from employers for independent, straight talking expertise in advancing business safety management.

Tony Walton - founder and director of Safetycare, has extensive management experience in the workplace  safety sector. This experience has enabled Safetycare to successfully engage and influence management on the need to integrate safety leadership into general management practice.

Tony has a tertiary qualification in safety management and is a professional member of the NZ Institute of Safety Management and the Safety Institute of Australia.  He has RAB-QSA safety auditing accreditation and is approved by ACC as a Workplace Safety Management Practices auditor. Tony has also undertaken Test Certifier training from the NZ Chemical Industry Council. 

In 2008, Safetycare branched out to incorporate Environmental, Quality and Business Sustainability services in addition to their existing Health and Safety portfolio. This growth was sparked by growing worldwide pressure on organisations to become more environmentally sustainable. Business owners too, are becoming increasingly aware of the massive business benefits of ‘going green’.
